Derek Carr's brother thinks Raiders should trade for Russell Wilson?

The Las Vegas Raiders have been linked with unsettled Seattle Seahawks superstar quarterback Russell Wilson since days after Super Bowl LV and are reportedly one of the teams on his wish list if he and the Seahawks part ways this offseason.

Derek Carr remains on track to enter the new NFL year on March 17 atop the Raiders' depth chart at the position, but his brother and former starting NFL signal-caller David Carr hinted the Raiders should go after Wilson if they believe he's available.

"If I'm a QB-needy team, I'm picking up the phone yesterday," David Carr wrote for the NFL's official website about Wilson. "He is everything you want in a quarterback, with endless talent, arm strength, poise and intelligence. Plus, he has the kind of ice in his veins that gives his team a chance to win late in games, no matter how great the deficit."

For what it's worth, NFL insider Josina Anderson tweeted on Feb. 15 that a source informed her Wilson isn't getting traded, and NFL Media's Michael Silver later said that the Seahawks have three first-round draft picks listed as the starting point for any trade negotiations. The 32-year-old one-time Super Bowl champion quarterback tossed 40 touchdowns last season and would be an upgrade over most players at the position not named Patrick Mahomes, though, and that reality could convince the Raiders to reach for the phone.

If the Raiders make the call, one wonders if the next Carr family reunion will include a tense and awkward conversation between brothers.
